Safawi Dates

Known as the cousin of the Ajwa, Safawi dates have a dark, almost black color.
They are among the least sweet and most fiber-rich varieties, yet very flavorful, with hints of maple syrup and caramel.
Small, round, and plump, they develop honeyed flavors in the mouth. Their flesh is soft and creamy, while their skin is smooth and almost imperceptible when bitten.
These Saudi dates from the Medina region have an elongated shape and wrinkled skin. Their long, thin pit allows the fruit to remain plump and meaty.
Pleasant in the mouth, their texture is firm without being hard. Originating from the same terroir, they are often compared in taste to Ajwa dates. They are commonly praised for their richness in antioxidants and minerals.
Our Safawi dates are cultivated in the Medina region of Saudi Arabia. They are harvested at full ripeness, then carefully selected, packaged, and shipped from the palm groves of our local partner.
They come from the Safawi palm tree, known for producing large quantities of dates throughout the year.
