Dattes Barhi
Very juicy, they contain a lot of water and are especially appreciated during hot weather or at the end of fasting. They have an amber color and a naturally sweet, mild flavor with a hint of sugarcane. The name “Barhi” comes from the Arabic word “barh”, meaning “hot wind”, an essential element for producing these dates perfectly.
Our Barhi dates are sold with pits, no added sugar. Harvested between late August and early September, they require careful selection due to their delicate nature.

Our Tips
How to Choose
Barhi dates range in color from light beige to golden. Their flesh is moist, delicate, honeyed, and caramelized, while their skin is light and smooth. The riper they are, the more brownish their color becomes.
Serving Suggestions
Barhi dates are a true delight and can be enjoyed as-is, as a healthy snack, before or after exercise, or at the end of a meal. Very flavorful, they are also perfect for breaking your fast and pair wonderfully with a glass of milk.
Storage
At TAYIBA, we offer Rutab-grade Barhi dates, meaning they are selected while very moist, before full ripening. This gives them their unique softness and moist texture. However, they are sensitive to prolonged heat and can develop a fermentation-like odor if stored improperly. Barhi dates must be stored in freezing temperatures to preserve their moisture and freshness. They can then be displayed for a few days in refrigerated conditions. Stored in their original airtight packaging at 4–8°C, they can stay fresh for approximately one week, depending on their moisture content.
