Medjool Rutab Dates

We offer the Medjool variety, cultivated in the Nejd region at the heart of Arabia.
Often considered the “star of dates” since its introduction to Europe, Medjool dates are renowned for their exceptional quality.
Plump and fleshy, they feature a rich caramel flavor and a thick, creamy texture. These are true delicacies with outstanding nutritional benefits.
They display a dark brown, wrinkled skin, and despite their large size, they contain a small pit.

Medjool dates are commonly enjoyed during religious or family occasions and also make elegant gifts, especially when stuffed with nuts or almond paste.

The Medjool dates available at TAYIBA are harvested before full ripening. These are therefore “Rutab” dates, meaning slightly soft and moist, with a unique tender texture. Their natural sugars may sometimes crystallize inside the packaging.

Grown in an exceptional terroir, these dates have a unique flavor not found in any other Medjool currently on the market.

Our Arabian Medjool dates offer a distinct taste compared to those from the Middle East, Morocco, California, or South Africa. They are less sweet, easy to digest, and provide a natural appetite-suppressing effect.

Our Tips

How to Choose

A good dried Medjool date should feel firm to the touch, yet remain soft and chewy, with a uniform golden-brown color.

Serving Suggestions

Medjool dates pair perfectly with soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert, creating a delightful mix of sweet and creamy flavors. They can also be stuffed with nuts or almonds for a tasty and energizing snack.

Storage

To keep your dried Medjool dates fresh, store them at room temperature in an airtight container to preserve their texture. These dates are known for their long shelf life and can be kept for several months without any issues.
