Medjool Dates

We offer you the Medjool variety of dates.

Cultivated in the Nejd region in central Arabia, it
is often considered the star of dates since its commercialization in Europe.

Very fleshy, they have a pronounced caramel taste and a thick, creamy flesh. These are true delicacies with exceptional nutritional qualities.
They have a more or less dark brown color and wrinkled skin. Despite their large size, they contain a small pit.

Medjool dates are often present at religious or family events, and they can also be given as gifts, especially when stuffed with dried fruits or almond paste.

Medjool dates available at TAYIBA are harvested before full ripening. These are therefore “routab” category dates, meaning “moist,” with a texture that retains an unmatched softness. Their sugar sometimes tends to crystallize and spread within the packaging.

They come from an exceptional terroir, giving them a unique flavor that cannot be found in any other Medjool currently on the market.

Our Medjool dates from Arabia offer a taste different from those of the Near East, Morocco, California, or South Africa. They are less sweet, easy to digest, and have an appetite-suppressing effect.

Expert Advice

How to Choose

A good dried Medjool date should be firm to the touch, yet soft and moist, with a uniform golden-brown color.

Tasting Idea

Medjool dates pair perfectly with soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert, creating a blend of sweet and creamy flavors. They can also be stuffed with nuts or almonds for a tasty and energizing snack.

Storage

To keep your dried Medjool dates fresh, store them at room temperature in an airtight container to preserve their texture. These dates have the advantage of lasting several months without any issue.
